ha ha! Kara Dioguardi was a speaker at a songwriters conference I went to a few years back and now she’s an American Idol judge! She was a mean one…I was scared to death to play for her and thought she was going to rip me to shreds like she was doing to everyone else…but to my surprise, she loved my song and told me to pitch it in LA! (yuck) I remember afterwards another attendee coming up to me and said “I don’t know how you got through that — your knees were shaking so bad I thought the guitar was going to fall off your lap!" She was right, I had been pretty freaked out!
